Neo Jurassica gave a significant pledge to the 'Mary Anning Rocks' Campaign in the hopes of erecting a rightfully needed statue of Mary Anning. We are delighted the unsung heroine of palaeontology is now finally on display in the place where she belongs; Lyme Regis. We would like to thank everyone else who also donated and hope her statue will be an inspiration for future palaeontologists.
At 10am on 13th August 2022 the Yorkshire Natural History Museum opened to the public for the first time. An institution dedicated to public scientific research and collections management, we are proud to have contributed to such a fantastic organisation. We at Neo Jurassica gifted the initial funding for the museum's storage, display and education facilities.
Public museums continue to face cuts in funding, often leading to curatorial duties and collections being at risk. Geological collections are not constantly stable and require monitored care; many a geologist knows the danger of pyrite decay. We at Neo Jurassica offer annually a grant of £1000 worth of our conservation services to museums looking to preserve their collections for future generations.
